Irene Makes a Pass

LCpl Sara remained on base pulling a 24hr Duty Section. Hurricane Irene made the final third of her Duty quite interesting with shattered glass, wind, and water. Power was still off by the time we spoke. Emergency lighting was dimming so high power flashlights (moonbeams) were being used for the clean up waiting for dawn.

Sara said her first hurricane was quite exciting. I asked her if after her 24 hour duty she was headed to her rack. She reminded me she would be out working if there were any rescue or job needs.

Thanks Sara for all you are doing. Semper Fi!
