Long Time No See

It's been 10 months now since we got to see LCpl Sara.  I am thankful for the fact that "texting" and Facebook are a part of our lives that allow us to stay in touch and check on each other instantly.  I can't imagine what it could be like if we were only able to wait on the occasional letter or phone call.

Now better than 17 months into her initial commitment, if there is a routine, Sara knows it.  (At least, I routinely miss her.  Ha!)  Every once in a while, I get a cool picture from the flightline of an Osprey taking off or landing... I imagine the "sounds of freedom" from memories of my days on the Arlington, TX airport when the prototypes were being developed and tested before my Marine was born.

Many of her friends form the "Bro' dom" and they spend most weekends being Marines off base -- hanging out, beach time, cookouts, too much bar time, loud raucus music and designated driver duties.  (Quite frankly, the formative culture for an adult life.)

Concerned?  Only the concern of a loving father.  "She ain't in Kansas anymore!"
Proud?  Beyond imagination.
Supportive?  Absolutely... with a loud OOH-Rah!

Keep your motivation LCpl Sara!  Stay motivated!  You determine your destiny... one choice at a time!  ...just one choice at a time.
