This was day two for Sara. She is surely sharing exhaustion with fellow recruits having been up all night and is emotionally drained for sure. For all that has happened, it's hard to believe that only one week ago today, she prepared for the walk into the ORU Mabee Center under the outstretched swords of the BHS Marine Corp JROTC. Hearing her name called and getting her diploma, I am thankful that she chose to wait to ship so we could have this memory. !

Was that a world away from now, or what?
I wonder if what Gunny Garrison said, about this being a slow week will be true in her mind. Perhaps in retrospect after experiencing what lies ahead. I am sure it is all relative! Like Sara is very fond of saying "It is what it is!" Not!
Our next graduation together will be quite the accomplishment.
I wonder will she wake up with her "alarm" in the morning or punch the snooze and catch a bit more shut eye!
