Inspection Time... Time to Strut

Well, I am at Fort A.P. Hill in Virginia, soon to enjoy the arrival of my son and approximately 45000 scouts from around the United States and the world for the next 12 days to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Scouting in the USA.  I am volunteering in the International Exhibit... come on by... I will have my Class A's on... (BSA class A's that is)...

And tomorrow, Sara will wear her Service Alpha's for the first time in an official roll... the Company Commander's Inspection...  She has been looking forward to this... another challenge and opportunity to excel.  Click Pop girl... intensity!  I know you will look ever so sharp!

Oh yeah... here we go... down the road... !

This is going to test Sara.  The Company Commander is a Captain and the highest officer Sara will have encountered to date... (save for the event on the firing range last week... right Sara?)

This uniform consists of olive green and khaki colors and is roughly equivalent in function and composition to a business suit. It is the prescribed uniform when making official visits and calls on American and foreign dignitarires, officials, and Military officers... visiting the White House, unless another uniform is specified... and reporting for duty onshore.  It is also authorized for wear while off-duty (on leave or liberty).

Service "A" (or Alpha) is the base uniform. It consists of a green coat (cut to be semi-form fitting, with ribbons and marksmanship badges worn on the left chest of the coat), khaki long-sleeve button-up shirt, a green necktab, a skirt with black pumps or slacks with black pumps.

Service "B" (or Bravo) is identical to the "A" except the coat is removed. Ribbons may be worn on the shirt.

Service "C" (or Charlie) is identical to "B" except with a short-sleeve button-up shirt and no tie.
.
There are three types of authorized headwear for the service uniform. Sara may wear the green soft garrison cap or a female version of the Barracks cover.
